Our Programs in

Holy Covenant Early
Childhood Development

At Holy Covenant Early Childhood Development Program, we offer a range of thoughtfully designed programs to meet the developmental needs of children at every stage. Each program is tailored to encourage growth, curiosity, and creativity while providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Totschool

Our Totschool is a great introduction to preschool. Starting at 18 months, this class works to build relationships, encourage independence, enjoy school and introduces the children to new experiences.

Loving Teachers

Our teachers love these toddlers into their transition to school. They make sure their children feel safe and loved.

Playtime

Toddlers spend much of their time playing and learning how to play, how to share and start learning how to handle themselves when they feel their very big emotions.

Outdoor Playtime

Playing outdoors allows toddlers to build gross motor skills, get bodies moving and be able to focus on other things as they move through their day.

Snack and Story Time

Our toddlers eat a snack and lunch each day. Teachers use this time to connect with them, and do things together like read stories.

Twos

Our Twos class has tons of fun playing and exploring! They are learning to play together, about sharing and about big emotions. They have fun with art and spend quality time outdoors each day.

Caring Teachers

Our Twos Teachers are familiar with the curiosity and social skills level of a two year old child. They nurture them and guide them to develop their social skills.

Playing Together

Our Twos love to play together and enjoy being with each other each day.

Outdoor Time

Playing outside is very important to child development at any age. Our twos explore their world and work on their gross motor skills with daily outdoor playtime.

Process Art

Our Twos have lots of fun with creative expression and process art!

Threes

Our Threes classes spend daily time outside, in learning centers and in process art. They have time to investigate and explore the world around them as they build friendships and enhance their social skills. The academic learning here is done through play.

Playful Learning

Playing is learning at ECDP. Children investigate and explore the world around them as they play.

Outdoor Play

Playing outdoors and moving our bodies helps us learn self-regulation.

Loose Parts Play

Loose parts and sensory bins help us with self-expression, creativity, and give us an opportunity to problem solve.

Process Art

Process art teaches our threes about color, texture, expression and creativity!

Fours

Our 4’s classes work to further social-emotional skills by fostering independence, encouraging cooperation and cooperative play, allowing children to problem solve, and helping children express themselves. Academic learning is active and playful! The 4’s have two parent conferences per year.

Outdoor Learning Area

Children are encouraged to explore nature and science through outdoor play.

Royal Feast

The culminating event to our fairy tale unit is a royal feast with food, fun and games!

Loose Parts Play

Loose parts develop imagination, creating, patterning, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Playful Learning

We use play, and authentic engaging, hands-on learning to teach academic skills.

Private Kindergarten

Our Private Kindergarten is a great start to “big school.” With our low student:teacher ratio (12:2), our Kindergarten teacher is able to meet each child where they are, and help them grow and develop as they build confidence in their abilities and love learning! We have 2 parent teacher conferences, and report cards go home 3 times per year.

Individualized reading instruction allows children to advance in their reading as they are ready. It let’s them know that they can read, and no one knows who is the best reader, and who is struggling. Using snap words, picture clues, and many other reading strategies, our Kindergarteners have success early as they begin reading.

Outdoor play is important for children this age. They have an opportunity to be scientists and explore the world around them in our Outdoor Learning Area. They have lots of room to run, jump, climb, slide and play as they get their energy out and are better able to focus on class when they come back inside. Fresh air and sunshine help keep our children active and healthy, and those benefits transfer into the classroom.
The children at our school love the enrichment classes – Music, PE and STEAM! In music, they sing, dance and play instruments as they prepare for the 2 shows we host each year (Christmas and Spring). PE works on their gross motor skills while they learn cooperative and competitive games. STEAM is a favorite at ECDP where the children do messy science projects and experiments, and have lots of fun being creative with art!

Even in Kindergarten, children need to move and be actively engaged in their learning. We accomplish this with learning centers that reinforce what the teacher is teaching, and gives children time to be authentically engaged in the learning experience. Learning is fun, hands on, and includes field trips, fairy tale plays and much more!

Enrichment Classes

Our enrichment classes offer children opportunities to engage in learning outside of
the regular classroom and have a more whole child experience.

Music

Music is an experience that moves people. Our children experience music each day, and show off what they’ve learned at Christmas, and in the spring!

STEAM

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math – engaging the child through fun, sensory, scientific experiences!

Physical Education

Physical Education – moving our bodies and improving not only our motor skills, but also our social-emotional skills as we play games and work together!
